Application Engineer Job

APPLICATION ENGINEER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in PHILADELPHIA, PA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Five (5) or more years of .NET programming experience.
- Three (3) or more years of ASP.NET web application development experience including C#, ASP.NET 4.0+, web forms and MVC.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Designs, builds and supports enterprise solutions that enable the clients' Food Management Process and Standards with a primary focus on PRIMA Web (the internal proprietary food production software).
- Provides development expertise in support of the Global Operational Excellence strategic plan.
- Plans, tests, debugs, documents, implements, and maintains programs in an environment of diverse development platforms, computing environments, hardware, software, technology tools, etc.
- Coordinates activities with other IT organizations (eg database, telecommunications, operations, technical support, etc.)
- Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented.
- Builds systems consistent with enterprise architecture requirements and defined SDLC.
- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders and SME's to understand system requirements.
- Identifies risks, evaluates options and translates them into a functioning solution.
- Adheres to the team's Agile methodology and captures project artifacts in TFS.
- Tests, implements, documents, and maintains system components based on specifications.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Possesses working knowledge in one or two technology environments.
- Applies technical knowledge under guidance, supervision and well-defined work direction.
- Demonstrates thorough understanding of requirement specification, design, coding, structure, operation and testing of information systems.
- Demonstrates proficiency with one or more technology environments, and the ability to learn and apply new and emerging concepts efficiently.
- Industry Knowledge/Emerging Technologies.
- Demonstrates expert understanding in the IT Process, serving as a resource to others providing technical leadership in their area of specialization.
- Builds and maintains strong working knowledge of the business area and the applications that support it.
- Develops a basic understanding of the industry and the products and services provided by the client.
- Has a solid understanding of how systems effect and benefit clients.
- Knowledge and experience in HTML, JavaScript/jQuery, CSS, Ajax, LINQ SQL Server 2008R2+ advanced SQL syntax, schema design, T-SQL and Stored Procedures Web Service development (WCF and REST).
- SSIS - Enterprise ETL experience TFS 2010
- Source and Agile project management SSRS Reporting Services

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Typically requires four to seven (4 - 7) years of related IT experience and BA/BS degree or equivalent technical training and experience within a technical discipline.
