APPLICATION ENGINEER (EAI - WEBSPHERE - LINUX - TOMCAT) - E-COMMERCE/RELEASE/ENVRIOMENT
As Application Engineer in my Client's Release and Environment Configuration team, you will be working closely with the Application Development team, the Applications team in UK and the Infrastructure team.
The successful Application Engineer will be responsible for the set-up, configuration and maintenance (up-time) of my Client's development and test environments, as well as preparing the packages for production releases.
My Client's E-commerce applications are running on Sun Systems with numerous interactions. The team is responsible for investigating and implementing technologies, delivering stable and performing applications for our Client's worldwide clients; ensuring quality for E-commerce applications by active responsibility for Release Management, defining DRP and capacity measurements. As releases and packaging are critical tasks, flexibility is required to be able to perform tasks under pressure and sometimes later in the day (evening).
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with interface developments and with Scripting
- Excellent understanding of the Linux operating systems
- Troubleshooting applications with your network knowledge
- Familiar with Enterprise Application Integration solutions and have already experienced projects where systems interoperability is a key component to serve Business needs
- Competences in these fields: WebSphere Application Server & WebSphere Service Integration Bus, J2EE, EAI tools, Oracle/SQL Server, Linux, Tibco
The successful Application Engineer will be a flexible, capable engineer, solution minded, troubleshooting, Linux, WebSphere Application Server, Shell Scripting, SQL scripts, Network and infrastructure knowledge, Tomcat.
