Application Engineer

On behalf of our client in the Life Science industry, Harvey Nash is looking for an Application Engineer for a 1 year project in Switzerland.

The role is about performing analytical activities and all software development tasks; incorporating technical and operational requirements into IT solutions.

You are responsible for
- Analyzing problems (business processes, transactions, data, functions)
- Defining system requirements (functional/qualitative requirements)
- Analyzing the technical and business environment (workplace, target systems and platforms, framework organization)
- Constructing models in terms of data, functions and/or objects
- Designing components and interfaces
- Implementing applications
- Setting up and maintaining environments for developing and testing
- Creating and maintaining project documentation (test, application, user manual)
- Project Estimating
- Specificating and implementing interfaces
- Developing or choosing the appropriate methods, techniques, standards, guidelines and tools for software development

Requirements

- Experience in SAP BW is a must
- Experience in master data, reporting and analytics is a must
- Understanding of Ariba system is a must
- Have both technical and functional background to support the business effort on reporting and Ariba system
- Understanding of procurement process is preferred
- Experience in finance, controlling is preferred
- English is a must
