Project Details
The Software License Management Programme is creating a single automated repository holding accurate information about the organisation's global position with regards to use of licensed products (software or hardware) as well as the people and business process around it. In order to establish this repository, they will deploy two new software tools, an automated inventory & discovery tool and a software asset management tool. The Inventory & Discovery tool will take a software and hardware inventory of Servers. The Software Asset Management tool will consume this data, establish a license consumption position - and compare this to the contractual license entitlement.

You will support the tooling project team in the implementation of iQuate iQSonar.

Activities include:
- creating detailed designs
- installing and configuring the tool in multiple environments (test, acceptance, production)
- setting up different scanning engines for inventory & discovery
- setting up integration for extracting data from the tool
- designing data quality and completeness checks
- supporting the testing of the tool and analysis of defects
- creating system administration guides and work instructions for the support team
- training of and knowledge transfer to the support team
