The Applications Development Technical Lead will be responsible for participating in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle from requirement gathering and through user acceptance testing and implementation. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring the end product is delivered with a strong focus on quality, performance, reuse and usability.

The person must be able to work in high pressured environments and meet delivery timelines with a high degree of client satisfaction. The appropriate candidate will continuously improve client service and seek strategic solutions and enhancements to business requirements. With global presence, the candidate will be expected to adjust work schedules when required.

Key Responsibilities:
Work with the Project Manager to manage complex, global, enterprise-level projects, including design, development, implementation, risk and control.
Responsible for leading a software development team of up to 15 people.
Manage business/client relationships with the senior business leaders associated with this project; build and sustain strong relationships with these client groups.
Work with the development teams and the Application and Domain architects in design and product selection.
Ensure we have buy-in from all the stakeholders and track issues and manage project risks.
Oversee development quality to ensure solution is robust and scalable.
Will coordinate with the Quality Control team.
Will coordinate with other development teams.
Work with the Project Manager on scope, budgets, project plans and timelines.
Monitor, update and communicate project timelines and milestones; obtain senior management feedback; understand potential speed bumps and client's true concerns/needs.

Knowledge/Experience:
Experience of leading software development projects and leading teams successfully in a globally distributed development team.
Experience of managing projects within large programs and reporting on detailed metrics to a PMO.
Demonstrated people and project management skills.
5+ years of software development experience with 5+ years of technology project lead experience is required.
Negotiation, difficult conversation management and prioritization skills.
Flexibility to handle multiple complex projects and changing priorities.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Experience with managing development of enterprise level end to end software applications (UI, Middle Tier, Backend Integration) is required.

Experienced in development using Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0, ASP.NET MVC 3.0, JQuery, AJAX, Javascript, HTML, CSS, XML/XSD and SQL.
Knowledge of Web Services, Security, SOA, Design Patterns.
