Application Developer/Java/.Net/C#/SQL/Project Lifecycle

Our client is urgently looking for a application developer.

Responsibilities

- Working on a new project aiming to re-architect an existing Java & Oracle based fund execution system.
- Improve STP rates by refactoring the order management and execution Back End.
- Provide a completely new user interface fully tailored to the needs of the execution desk.
- Integrate with various up- and down- stream systems and provide efficient document management capabilities.

PROFILE

- In depth understanding of OO principles.
- >5 years experience as a Java developer.
- Commercial experience in C# is a big plus.
- Strong knowledge of web services.
- Experience of using Design Patterns (advantages and drawbacks).
- Has experience of developing software for a large Enterprise, including n-tier development.
- Strong RDBMS experience required (eg SQL Server/Oracle).
- Experience of the full project life cycle.
- Understanding and exposure to Test Driven Development.
- Experience of Agile practices.
- Excellent written and spoken English, German is an asset.
- Can explain complex ideas clearly.
