Proteus Europe is searching for an Application Developer for our clients based in Brussels, Belgium.

Your New role:
Development and maintenance of software applications
Development and integration of technological components
Implementation of user requirements.
Prototyping
Elaboration of test programs
Integration with other applications
Writing of technical documentation
Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system
Participation in meetings with the project teams.
Your Skills and experience:
Excellent knowledge of Oracle RDBMS, SQL and PL/SQL.
Excellent knowledge of Java and web related technologies (J2EE, EJB, JSP, JavaScript, HTML, XML, XSL, etc.)
Ability to work in all layers: presentation, object (business), database
In depth knowledge of application development environments
Good knowledge of the design and development of web and multi-tier applications
Knowledge of EC methodologies (RUP at EC or Agile at EC) and tools (RTC from IBM) is an asset
The candidate must be able to work independently and show high motivation and willingness to learn (both business and technologies)
Due to the particular nature of a large international organisation such as the European Commission, candidates should also have the following nontechnical skills:
Ability to understand, speak and write English
Ability to work in a team
Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on a large project
