Application Developer

As a result of an exciting new project won with a global company myWest Yorkshirebased client has need for a solid Application Developer to hit the ground running in a (minimum) six month contract. This will be to work as part of the application development team to implement new features, improve on existing features and be involved in the test phases. Essential Skills: * MVC 3/ 4 * C# * SQL/ MySQL * Agile Methodology * Web Services exposed as REST API Your role: * Assist the Lead Developer in the design and implementation of the application and related modules * Take part in test phases to lead some cross tests * Work in coordination with the team to deliver a quality product Qualities Required: * Excellent working knowledge of common developing approaches and tools. * Assist the team of testing the Application and related modules * Good skill knowledge in the Dojo framework * Working knowledge of: * Visual Studio 2010 and Visual Studio 2012 * IIS 7+ * Rest communication protocol * Bug Tracking systems such as Jira. * Test management tools such as Testopia, Quality Centre etc. * Good database skills in MySQL and general database querying * Agile methodologies such as Scrum, TDD, Unit Testing, User Stories, Acceptance Testing etc. * Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment. * Experience of dealing with diverse and complex customer requirements. * Any knowledge of Amazon Cloud Services would be a bonus. * Good design skills in order to assist with user interface changes and improve UI designs.
