Application Developer

Background
Our prestigious client based in the heart of Leeds is seeking an experience Application Developer to join them on a 60 day Contract. Ideally coming from a health services/NHS background but all applications are welcome. This is a full time role. Our client is creating a stable platform to support a full scale rollout of a high profile programme which with ensure users can all migrate from Legacy systems. The first phase of development to achieve this was completed in 2010 and the Back End development has been completed. They are now on the next phase of developing the directory. The successful applicant will be highly experienced in Capacity grid building, PHP development and JQuery. This role requires further development of a Directory and to take into account outstanding requirements including bed capacity grids for specific service types and enhancements to current functionality. The development will focus on providing central admin with the ability to create capacity grids. In addition, web pages will need to be developed to display one or more capacity grids together and provide search screens with the ability to save and share search criteria. Other work will focus on enhancing current functionality including improvements to search functionality, administrative and reporting functions. It is imperative you have previous experience in Capacity Grid building.

Main Duties/Responsibilities
Delivery of capacity grid builder 
. Search for services with ability to save and share search criteria as favourites. 
. Ability to attach capacity grids to specific service type. o Ability to edit capacity grids. 
. Display of services with capacity grid, individual and list views. 
. Access rights to above restricted to specific roles. 
. Improved search facilities for service search and clinical search to include Google style searching as well as current drop downs - ie any word/s or phrase matched.

There will be an element of knowledge transfer in this role, as and when it come sot an end this will need to be shared back to the clients main permanent develops/team.

Skills/Experience Required
Essential Skills
. Experience of PHP development.
. Experience of working with JQuery.
. Web Front End design and development and Back End integration.
. Ideally 3 years experience in full time software development including full path to live

Desirable
. Open LDAP admin and integration experience.
. Agile development experience.
. Degree level in technical subject related to software development or equivalent experience
