Application Dev. - Multitier Architecture - Banking - Zürich

APPLICATION DEVELOPER - Our client, an international financial services company, is currently looking for an experienced and motivated Application Developer with multiple years of experience in multitier architecture.

MAIN TASKS AND ACTIVITIES:

- Work in a team to develop sustainable state of the art solutions that drive the Structured Products business forward
- Deliver first grade business value by implementing adequate solutions in an agile, cost-efficient and goal focused manner
- Help the business to optimize existing and new processes and define creative and smooth new ways of increasing returns in a challenging environment
- Apply professional development techniques as part of a team to deliver high quality solutions in a timely manner
- Test, document and release created products

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS LONG TERM ROLE YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

- Several years of relevant experience as a software developer, ideally in a banking/finance environment
- Good knowledge of development practices such as Unit Testing, Mocking, Version Control, Design Patterns, Continuous Integration
- Basic knowledge of financial theories, processes and instruments
- Very good English skills
- Systematic, focused approach of tackling problems, analytical, creative and flexible way of thinking, self-dependency, ability to work under pressure, reliability, open communication and high customer-focus
