Application Architect: (SOA, Java, JIRA, Confluence, XML)

APPLICATION ARCHITECT: (SOA, JAVA, JIRA, CONFLUENCE, XML)

OUR CONSULTANCY CLIENT IS LOOKING FOR AN APPLICATION ARCHITECT/DESIGNER TO SUPPORT THE ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN OF THE INFORMATION SYSTEMS SOLUTIONS THAT SUPPORT THE MANAGEMENT OF ITS PROGRAMS.

KEY SKILLS:

- Excellent and proven knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and design of Internet applications
- Very good knowledge of Java/J2EE (including Spring/Hibernate framework)
- Proven experience using JIRA and Confluence will be an asset
- Experience in cross platform design and services orchestration
- Experience with interoperability solutions (XML, XPath)
- Experience with various technological platforms and environments (Unix, Windows, Java based, .NET)
- Experience with the use of tools for application life cycle management (SMT, Jira, Wiki's)
- Capability to write clear and structured technical documentation and give presentations on the related subject
- English and/or French speaking
- Very good knowledge of Configuration Management and continuous integration practices and tools like SVN, Git, etc.
- Knowledge of Oracle products like WebLogic, Oracle Database 11g, Java JMS, Middleware technologies (ActiveMQ)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assist in the definition of proper architectural solutions and assist in the design of the Information Systems
- Review of the architecture of existing systems
- Design and development of component architecture and building blocks
- Analysis of the integration of different information systems
- Data analysis and Datamodelling
- Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture
- Technical interface between the project leaders and the developers
- Production of software architecture documents
- Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users
- Assistance in the testing, the technical documentation, the deployment, the evaluation and the reporting
