Android Software Engineer

Our client is the leading computer components manufacturer seeking a qualified SOFTWARE ENGINEER to assist with building a framework on Android to allow certain features to offload from host to firmware.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Write code for all Android Layers including application, Platform Services, User HALs and native layer.
- Work with Android framework (AOSP) and upstream code to Android source repositories.
- Review Design documents and provide the input.
- Develop test code for specifically for Embedded system.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
At least 3 years of Android development

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Very good understanding of Android Internal Stack including the platform services such as System Server
- Experience of writing code for Android native layer
- C and JAVA (JNI) programming
- Experience writing application code for Linux based Embedded Systems
- Familiarity with GIT/Gerrit/Jenkins

NICE TO HAVE:

- Experience in developing OS agnostic application
- Experience in Linux Kernel development
