ANDROID DEVELOPER - URGENT - CONTRACT - £450/DAY

MY CLIENT, AN EXTREMELY EXITING NEW SOCIAL MEDIA COMPANY, ARE LOOKING TO ADD AN A CLASS ANDROID DEVELOPER TO THEIR TEAM:

YOU

In this role you'll be working in our world-class mobile team and will take the lead on ANDROID APP DEVELOPMENT. We're creating a large-scale global consumer service and we expect Android will play a big part in that. The app will be highly interactive and visual, include a significant networking aspect, and will need to be engineered for high performance in many situations - there will be plenty of technical challenges! We're also still small, so this is a great opportunity to join the team early and have a big impact on the product.

EXPERIENCE

- You've created multiple commercial, native Android apps that have widespread usage and connect to web services.
- You've had experience in a software team: you're familiar with Git, agile development practices, code reviews

SKILLS

- Strong Java skills
- Expert knowledge of Android platform and core frameworks
- You can create a compelling interaction with attention to detail
- You know your way around databases and can comfortably craft queries
- You can write clean code with tests and can work to improve its performance
- Familiar with API design, networking, caching and complex modelling issues for highly interactive apps

BONUS POINTS

- Breadth of experience with a variety of programming languages and frameworks
- iOS and Objective C experience
- Human-computer interaction experience including understanding usability issues, user testing
- Background in Computer Science
