ONLINE NATIVE MOBILE DEVELOPER

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Mobile developer responsible for the development and maintenance of the clients app currently used by almost 4 million customers. Your primary focus will be the development of new native features for the app. You will be working along-side other developers and testers within one of the two (devops) scrum teams. We are looking for an expert in Android, with affinity with iOS. Therefore, commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable code
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
- Help maintain code quality (by implementing unit tests), organisation, and (test) automatization

DEVELOPMENT SKILLS

. Strong knowledge of SDK's
. Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect to Back End services
. Strong knowledge of design principles, patterns, and best practices
. Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
. Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
. Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
. Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
. Understanding of design principles and interface guidelines
. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
. Familiarity with continuous integration and build tools (like Jenkins and Fastlane)
