For our client, a pharmaceutical company in Basel, we are looking for a
ANDROID AND IOS TECHNICAL EXPERT
You will be a part of the client's Research and Early Development Digital Biomarker program. This program's objective is to develop digital biomarkers for the client.
The program's focus areas are:
1) Design digital biomarkers: Define ways to capture clinical outcomes using sensor data collected from smartphones and wearables
2) Develop apps and data processing pipeline: Establish processes, software, and infrastructure to handle big data collected from sensors in clinical trials
3) Deploy digital biomarkers to clinical studies: Generate data to validate approaches and support decision making
4) Analyse and interpret sensor data: Identify signals for disease severity and progression in sensor data collected from patients in trials
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide deep technical expertise on the iOS and Android platforms, specifically with regards to sensor data collection for remote patient monitoring
- Address advanced technical and software engineering challenges that arise during software development (including hands on software development)
- Provide input into requirements for Digital Biomarker remote patient monitoring apps
MUST HAVES:
- Very good university degree (MSc. level or above) in a natural science with significant computational element, computer science, software engineering or similar
- 5+ years mobile software development expertise
- Familiarity with iOS and Android app development, the ecosystems and the latest technologies and trends
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodology (SCRUM preferred)
NICE TO HAVES:
- German speaking
- Working experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally with clinical studies
- Scientific computing/software development background
START DATE: 01.02.2018 OR ASAP
END DATE: 31.12.2018 (OPTION FOR EXTENSION)
