Analyst/Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide application development for funded projects within the customer developed application.
Create detailed technical design of Java related components, perform the necessary coding within Customer standards, unit testing and support of system and user acceptance testing needs.
Follow customer Java coding standards and place code in the proper code repository.
Design code such that it is easily maintained for future Java releases.
Ensure the solution is coded with Information Security in mind.
Assist in creating necessary support documentation where appropriate.
Working knowledge of CICS and IMS on the Mainframe is a plus.
Design, code, test, and debug programs of varying levels of complexity.
Analyze user requests and software requirements for feasibility of design and potential impact while cognizant of time and cost constraints.

Strong ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue.
Strong knowledge of the full software development life cycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery.
Proficiency in a computer software application or programming language specifically identified in the assignment requirements.

JavaScript/JSP, Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent training required.
3-4 years of experience required. Will be open to considering a remote worker option to perform needed activities in a remote location, assuming individual has necessary bandwidth and tools to work effectively from that location.
