Analyst - Data Management - Investment Management - TOM (Solvency II)

ANALYST - DATA MANAGEMENT - INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT - TOM (SOLVENCY II) EDINBURGH

Our client is keen to secure the services of an experienced Analyst (Business, Test and Data Analysis skills) to develop a robust operating model for provision of Solvency II data to external clients. We need someone, at short notice, who is comfortable quickly understanding a new data environment (and Solvency II solution); using this knowledge to test and documenting the operating model.

Core tasks include:

- documenting the operating model that data flows through, including validation and query management.
- Carry out functional, non-functional, integration and regression testing on behalf of the business for corporate project(s), in particular data feed testing for Solvency II.
- Work closely with the Project Manager(s), Business Analyst(s) and Business Subject Matter Expert(s) to develop the operating model and ensure that associated testing activities are completed to a high standard.
- Embed the operating model for Solvency II data in the Data Operations area.
- Documentation of data flows, validation and query management - Operating Model
- Creation of test plans
- Test design, execution and documentation
- Embedding the proven operating model in the Data Operations area

Required skills and experience to include:

- Financial data knowledge (ideally including Investment, Asset or Wealth Management data)
- Data analysis and warehousing
- Operating model documentation
- Test strategy and planning
- Test scenarios and data set-up
- Test delivery including entry/exit criteria and defect reporting/tracking to closure
- Managing testing risks & issues
- Stakeholder management

Some experience with Markit EDM (CADIS) or equivalent product and Solvency II data would be advantageous (but definitely not essential)
