Analyst/Architect Web Tools

The contract is with a large consultancy in Brussels to be on assignment to major European site. The organisation's systems have been developed in ColdFusion with some elements in Java while the database is Oracle. The systems are accessible via the Internet (ie https) to users in third countries. The organization now wishes to have the assistance of a IS Architect with specific expertise in web tools for development and operation of information systems following the internal methodologies and procedures.

Skills:- - In depth knowledge of information systems matters and in particular, quality assurance and enterprise architecture
- Ability to apply high quality standards
- Knowledge of the software development methodologies RUP
- Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings,
- Capability of integration in an international/multi-cultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in team working
- Advance knowledge in web tools and Java.
- 14 years after secondary school (ie professional experience + university studies included) and at least 9 years of specific expertise in Web tools are needed

DESCRIPTION OF TASKS:- - Development and enhancement of architecture.
- Assistance with the implementation of the architecture.
- Analysis of business processes/ Analysis of organisational structures.
- Data flow analysis.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS:- - The work will be carried on the Commission's premises at Brussels/MS Office is used for office automation/Internet Explorer.
- The methodology used for its development is based on RUP, Rational tools (mainl y ClearQuest/ClearCase) and JIRA/SVN.
- The technical environment is based on Oracle, ColdFusion and Java.
- The user documentation is supported in Robohelp, Flash and PDF.
