Key Objectives:

The purpose of the Core Network Expert role is to:

Troubleshooting:
oAdvanced Troubleshooting on CORE Network (LTE, ePC)

Network Configuration:
oDeliver in the most effective way, changes in the network

Records & Parameter Management:
oEnsure data integrity

Knowledge Transfer via onsite training
oKnowledge Transfer to the Customer Engineers (on Customer Premises)

Position Description:

Roles & Responsibilities:

Core Network Expert is responsible for delivering against the following roles and responsibilities:
Advanced Troubleshooting of CORE Incidents. Restoration of Service and Support of Maintenance activities
Respond to service configuration requests which are not handled directly by the service provisioning or customer care processes.
Identification of pending capacity expiry, management of 'hot spots' & core network waiters.
Administration & recording of the logical & physical network.
Commission, acceptance, configuration and recording of new network equipment installations.

Skills & Knowledge:

The Core Network Administrator has a strong understanding of:

Expert knowledge of the following Alcatel Lucent Products:
oALU ePC evolved Packet Core
oALU SAM5620
oALU eNodeB 9926
Knowledge of ALU Routers is beneficial
Detailed knowledge of network infrastructure, across core technology domains
Experience in prioritizes time allocation against critical tasks
Subject matter expertise in core network requirements associated with configuration and records/parameter management
A constantly changing environment and is able to relate impacting issues and risks to customer, understanding their business implications.
Working in a multi-customer, multi-vendor, multi-technology environment
