Air Conditioning Engineer required by leading Aerospace and Defence company in Malvern. This is a temporary role which will turn into a permanent position after three months.

JOB PURPOSE:

- Carry out operational Maintenance tasks within agreed SLA time frame in line with QFM quality and health and safety standards.
- Take part in an out of hours call out rota
- Attend multi disciplined Reactive breakdown tasks within agreed SLA timeframe
- Assist the Maintenance Manager in supporting new works projects
- Provide detailed job reports to the QFM Management Information System
- Co-ordinate, perform and supervise maintenance and corrective works as required to include completion certificates.
- Ownership of an assigned project until completion to include timely hand over of all required documentation to the QFM project Manager
- Ensure the upkeep of the project environment in regard to cleanliness and the disposal of waste in a responsible fashion in full compliance with health and safety and environmental guidance.
- Ensure that personally and as a team, a positive image of the company is projected at all times and enquiries from customers are reacted to positively.
- Carry out, delegate and complete effectively installation tasks as allocated by the Line Manager.
- Supervise sub-contractors for specialised work.
- Ensure positive customer relationships and maintain good communication with the customer and line manager throughout a project.
- Assist with, complete and evaluate risk assessments and method statements to ensure that consideration of the clients business and any safety requirements have been considered for both customer and operative.
- Ensure support is provided for other departmental teams as directed by the QFM site management team and take on required training to do so.
- Ensure that materials are sourced from competitive suppliers

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

- Educated to City and Guilds level or NVQ in Electrical/Mechanical Discipline
- To have served an accredited Electrical/Mechanical/HVAC apprenticeship
- Qualified to Fgas standards C&G 2079 and electrical wiring regs 17th edition
- Customer facing experience 
- Appropriate skills and knowledge to ensure compliance with all aspects of relevant legislation and industry standards
- Good knowledge of health and safety requirements and be able to produce and evaluate risk assessments and method statements
- Able to supervise engineers/contractors and achieve targets
- Interpersonal and influencing skills
- Clean UK driving licence
- Experience with Word, Excel, Building Management Systems

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

- C&G 2079 fgas requirements
- Registered refrigerant handler
- NVQ/apprenticeship in air conditioning
