Agile Tester - Contract

Role Profile:
•Test newly developed software features and changes to existing features using automated testing tools where applicable to enhance testing efficiency
•Carry out varying styles of testing methods including; scripted, exploratory, smoke, regression and ad-hoc.
•Carry out testing on web (cross browser), mobile devices and apps and ensure that high quality and accuracy is maintained through to software release.
•Work effectively within a multi-supplier environment.
•Support e2e testing of new software solutions, while taking overall ownership of the quality of ecommerce system.

Essential Skills / Experience:
•Experience with POS, Web testing, Web technologies.
•Experience of working in a 'real' Agile team.
•Ability to create and execute manual test scripts, preferably for web-based applications
•Solid experience writing test plans, test cases and executing tests including database and file validations
•Exposure to system testing and system integration testing
•Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and problem solving
•Excellent communication skills - able to identify and communicate risks around software releases
•Experience of testing retail systems would be a distinct advantage

Desirable Skills / Experience:
•Desirable to have exposure to Retail supply chain, WMS systems
•Experience of testing Oracle E-Business Suite applications would be highly advantageous

Qualifications
•Good degree or equivalent qualification
•QA Certification
•Experience of agile test methods and processes

Technical Skills
•Test case management tools such as Zephyr, Quality Center
•Defect management tools such as Jira
•Automated Test Tools such as Selenium, Cucumber
•Load Test Tools such as Load Runner, JMeter, Silk Performer
•Automated Unit Test Tools such as JUnit, DBUnit
