JOB OPPORTUNITY
Name of Restaurant: Salang Kabob House
Position: Afghani Specialty Cook
Location of work: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada (in city area)
Duration: For a 2 Years Position (Full-Time)
Wage: $15.00 per hour
Education: Some High School
Work Experience: 5 Years or more
Duties:
- Oversee Entire Operations of the Restaurant Kitchen,
- Prepare and cook Afghan Special Traditional Dishes, including Tikka Kabob, Chaplee Kabob, Shami Kabob, Choppan Kabob, Lamb Tikka Kabob, Lamb Shank, Chicken Breast Kabob, Chicken Shami, Chicken Tandoori, Qabelli Rice, Mantu, Chick Pea Qorma, Meat Qorma, Eggplant Qorma, Sabzi, Special Naans: Afghan Naans - Cheese and Garlic Naans, Firnee, New Items: Paaye, Namak Gosht Karahi, Brain Masala, Palak, Tooti, Ghulabi Chai and kabali Sabaz Chai,
- Supervise Kitchen Staff and Junior Cooks,
- Maintain Inventory of Food and Kitchen Supplies,
- estimate and advise on Food & Supplies Re-Stocking,
- Keep Kitchen Equipment in check (make sure it is in good and safe working order at all times),
- Maintain a Clean and Healthy Kitchen Environment,
- Assist the management with designing the menu and introduce new dishes,
- Responsible to train kitchen staff
Additional: Knowledge of Afghani, Arabic, Urdu or Punjabi would be an asset.
