Advanced Advertising Strategist required by leading Media company based in Amsterdam

Responsibilities:

Create and align data capabilities; build ad tech for targeted advertising; develop strategic partnerships with ad and data partners, agencies and broadcasters; manage a product portfolio; enable product-privacy mechanisms and policy.

External focus: support the establishment and maintenance of advanced advertising relationships with broadcasters, agencies, advertisers, sales houses and technology vendors:

i) Contributing to the creation of new business partnerships - working with existing relationships but with a focus on target advertising and also support the team in finding new business development opportunities
ii) Assist with planning of meetings with a focus on building high-impact supporting materials, notably business plans, business cases and decks for new projects that drive stakeholders engagement;
iii) Coordinate discussions for targeted advertising;
iv) Manage descriptive aspects of a product portfolio and create clear definitions which will empower partner engagement

Internal Focus:

Support the management of dependencies that impact and enable the service delivery, the creation of new projects/business models with broadcasters, agencies and vendors, with a focus on:
i) Help in guaranteeing that the roadmaps address the department requirements;
ii) Work to ensure, from a business and commercial perspective, an alignment between Ad and Data technology requirements and IT, Architecture, Analytics and Insights work;
iii) Support Countries AVAD projects with the best practices created at a Corporate Level.
iv) Provide uptodate business/projects plans and work on business cases to ensure stakeholder commitment.
v) Be able to present financial information correctly.

There will be work with broadcasters in other countries (eg UK, Belgium) and so some travel will be required.

Essential skills/experience (how and why will they be used?)
i) 2 years + experience
iii) Strategic background with experience in project management, business case development and working with multidisciplinary resources;
iv) Experience in supporting a team to drive impacting and successful external business development (demonstrating value) and planning meetings at an executive level;
v) Expert level PowerPoint - must be able to make high quality presentations;
vi) Ability to learn new technologies and quickly adapt to a changing business environment;
vii) Building collaboration within a Matrix environment is critical;
viii) Media and broadcasting sector experience (the focus is target advertising with broadcasters)
viiii) Experience with economic/business modelling and strong financial understanding

Working Dynamics:
i) Will be making presentations, designing business plans/cases, tracking project delivering, collaborating with internal resources and in contact with external decision makers;
ii) Will foster internal alignment with a can-do attitude

Accountability of the role:
i) Quality of the AVAD engagements with stakeholders: business planning, presentations, project proposals and level of coordination/delivering;
ii) Accurate and timely bridging of business and commercial requirements with key internal stakeholders.

Your background
Strategy background (might have been a consultant)
Media and advertising experience would be ideal although broadcasting background would also be an advantage.
