ADABAS Systems Programmer/Support - Amsterdam, NL

Languages: ENGLISH and preferably DUTCH

Skills and experiences:

- At least 5 years provable and recent experience on Mainframe as a Systems Programmer
- Extensive knowledge of SUPRA, ADABAS and Natural and related products (installation, monitoring, maintenance)
- Support of day-to-day performance (infrastructure) tuning, backup & recovery on production & test-environments
- Knowledge of ISPF, TSO, REXX, JCL
- Knowledge of either CICS, IMS, DB2 for z/OS and CA IDMS is a plus
- Basic skills for related products: z/OS, MQ, WebSphere
- Familiair with ITIL procedures and methods
- > 5 years provable system programming skills in large Mainframe environments
- Maintenance of system software
- Ability to make clear agreements and live up to those agreements.

- Ability to cooperate with the other syspro's and the DBA's within the team as well as with other teams, clients and vendors in projects.
- Create implementation documents and other technical documentation.
- Create clear workinstructions in order to transfer the work to others (f.i. IDC India), knowledge transfer.
- Flexible. Ability to cope with changes in planning and priorities.
- Ability to work under (time) pressure.
- Quick learner (new environments).
- Willing to work outside office hours (weekends and nights) for projects and changes.
- Willing to be standby on a regular base

Description of work:

- Assess technical documentation related to SUPRA and Adabas (completeness, current, in line with actual implementation)
- Create missing documentation
- Installation and maintenance of Cincom's Supra and Software AG's ADABAS and Natural
- Advise and assist in project related activities in areas described above
