I currently have a fantastic opportunity for an ADABAS Database Administrator, to work for one of the World's leading Service Integrators, to be based in Johannesburg, South Africa - this will be for a 12 Month Contract.
Candidates will be responsible for supporting my client's Accounts, utilizing their database Administration skills, for ADABAS V8 and upwards. You will be responsible for BAU problem and change; support with OOH Rota participation; supporting the business in the install, maintenance and upgrade of applications ensuring compatibility; and general monitoring, tuning and application recovery.
Asides from meeting the skills set out above, a Technical diploma would be preferable, as would a working knowledge of the following products: Review; ADABAS Co-ordinator; ADAREORG; ADASTRIP; PEEK and CICS.
