Actuary Analyst

Actuary Analyst is Contractrole working in Brighton, for 3 months initially. We are looking Actuary Analyst for our public sector client.

Job Title: Actuary Analyst

Location: Brighton

Contract Length: 3 months initially

Essential Experience: Must have a professional Actuary qualification and held on able to hold the Scheme Actuary

KEY TASKS AND DELIVERABLES

YOU WILL:

- analyse information to provide actuarial advice and propose actions in relation to regulatory interventions
- contribute to project and case teams with specific actuarial advice and knowledge to assist progress towards our statutory objectives
- Share knowledge of actuarial issues, best practice and successful interventions with colleagues. Provide relevant learning when required

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- Fellow of the Faculty or Institute of Actuaries or member of other recognised actuarial professional body
- Proven capacity for strong and strategic understanding of actuarial framework for pensions and related areas with the ability to identify the key risks to TPR achieving its statutory objectives. Excellent awareness and understanding of pensions environment strategic trends and issues
- Has sufficient experience to be eligible to hold a scheme actuary certificate and experience in the pensions or related industry advising clients on a range of actuarial risks.
- Regularly demonstrated ability to work with other professionals in multidisciplinary teams. Proven track record of working flexibly across these teams with good decision making skills and ability to build strong team relationships. Evidence of sustaining a high level of drive, enthusiasm and a positive attitude when coping with pressure at work
- Able to communicate and present in a range of formats and situations clearly, confidently and to a level appropriate for the audience. Ability to make effective and timely decisions when dealing with complex, pressurised and important issues, which will have a major impact both internally and externally.
- Excellent Microsoft excel skills and high level of proficiency with spreadsheet analysis and manipulation
