Location: National Water Sports Centre, Nottingham

Hours: Part-Time hours TBC

An opportunity has arisen within Serco Leisure for an Activity Leader to work within the E-Combat Zone at the National Water Sports Centre, on a 7 months Fixed-Term Contract.

Job Purpose

As part of a team to prepare, repair and maintain the e-combat zone. To control and direct the use of activities specialising in the e combat zone. To instruct on e-combat activities and events

Key Responsibilities

Prepare the e combat zone for public use undertaking Health & Safety checks

Carry out repair and cleaning of e-combat battle area and equipment

Carry out the repair and maintenance of all e combat equipment

provide safety briefings and equipment instruction for e-combat users

Engage customers via role play in the e-combat experience

Direct and control use of the e battle zone by users and provide safety cover as appropriate. Make checks to ensure payment has been made by all users

Carry out cleaning duties in respect to activity zones

Instruct on centre courses and activities as per qualification and competence

To work as part of a team to ensure the safety of all users

To provide competent instruction on activities

Preparation of the facilities for activities and events

Essential skills and experience required for the role

Previous experience is highly desirable

Previous Military or Cadet force experience

Current driving licence

Experience of working in a public focused organisation

Experience of instructing members of the public including young people

To undertake basic repairs and maintenance tasks

Experience of cash handling

Experience of using ICT equipment
