Acquisition Safety Manager

Acquisition Safety Manager; Bristol; 3-6months;.NEGOTIABLE*

My client, a public sector organization is looking to recruit an Acquisition Safety Manager (ASM) who will be responsible for advising the Log Com, Team Leaders, Project team leaders, and the Project Safety & Environmental Panels(SEP) on safety and environmental policy and cases for Log Com Delivery Teams.

Key responsibilities:
*Advising Project SEP Chairs on:
oProject safety and environmental strategies
oSafety and Environmental Management Plans (SEMP) requirements
oSetting safety and environmental targets
oSafety and Environmental Case (SEC) requirements
oDetermining project safety probability-severity Matrix
oDetermining project environmental frequency-severity Matrix and definitions
*Co-ordinate and maintain a register for:
oProject Safety Environmental Case Reports (SECRs)
oHazard Logs, and if used eCassandra
oProject safety & environmental reviews, and Equipment Failure Reports
oProgression of new equipment under review
oMedium and high adverse environmental impacts, including control measures and proposed mitigation measures
*Ensuring a robust internal audit system is implemented
*Ensuring that mandatory reports and audit reports are completed
*Identifying best practice and disseminating it across Log Com
*Provide specialist advice to staff on safety and environmental legislation issues
*Undertake regular reviews of international conventions, treaties and protocols to which the UK is signatory and European Union (EU) and UK legislation to ensure the provision of current information to Log Com staff
