Acoustics, Acoustics, DSP, Telecomms, Embedded Engineer

I am seeking an experienced Acoustics Engineer; you will be responsible for the final implementation of the design, quality and performance.

Job Role:

- Check and verify the proposed design to ensure that it is capable of delivering to the specification.
- Carry out verification testing of the audio/acoustics solutions.
- Carry out the required DSP tunings to ensure the products meet all performance requirements.
- Will need to work with and coordinate external partners to ensure delivery of various aspects of the acoustic and audio solution.
- Take the initial design from the audio/acoustics concepting team and take it to delivery standard with the help of internal teams and partners.
- Close working with ODM supplier/chipset vendor/internal and external stakeholders to manage and progress audio/acoustics solutions. A significant portion of this role is management of these tasks.
- Responsible for the DSP tuning of all audio solutions to stringent quality requirements. This is the final performance tuning of the handset and as a result is a major part of this role

Skills:

- Strong audio and acoustics background and knowledge of their application in small consumer electronics devices.
- Strong grounding in audio Digital Signal Processing.
- Headset design and development knowledge beneficial.

Desired Experience:

- Experience of working with audio/acoustics solutions preferably in consumer electronics.
- DSP tuning knowledge required.
- Mobile phone development experience preferred.
