Acoustic/Audio Software Engineer

The successful candidate will be part of my clients experienced acoustic engineering team and contribute to the design and development of enterprise-class mobile computing devices by:

* Performing acoustic analysis of existing and proposed electro-mechanical systems and mechanical enclosures with the objective to design optimized acoustic structures
* Perform quantitative evaluations of product designs to validate implementations meet established criteria for product acceptance
* Engage in advanced development activities to prepare innovations in product concepts and audio subsystem components
* Work with engineering teams and vendors to specify transducers for product designs
* Write technical specifications
* Attend and contribute to product design reviews
* Maintain and enhance acoustic lab capabilities
* Provides technical leadership for others within development teams.
* Provides coaching/mentoring for developing engineers.

Specific Knowledge/Skills
* Demonstrable experience with telephony, echo cancellation, and handset design
* Working knowledge of audio test and evaluation software and systems
* Experience in a leadership role within cross-functional teams is highly desirable.
* Experience working with a diverse team including third-party engineering organizations, domestic and abroad, to implement designs
