Accounts Receivable Analyst Job

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE ANALYST NEEDED for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Rochester, NY

TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- A/R, Cash Application, and Cash Collections experience
- Intermediate Excel with Pivot Tables and -Lookups

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- CUSTOMER ACCOUNT RECONCILIATIONS: Resolving overpayments & short-payments (deductions taken by customer). Working with major commercial accounts, as well as one-offs, both domestic and international.
- ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE: Ability to work independently on assigned customer accounts to clear all types of open issues residing on the Accounts Receivable sub-ledger. Working with Internal colleagues to facilitate re-bills, refunds, and credits, as required.
- CASH COLLECTIONS: Contacting customers to obtain payment. Emailing "friendly reminders."
- CASH APPLICATION SUPPORT: Daily support of cash application personnel, as questions arise.
- DEFENSE FINANCE & ACCOUNTING SERVICES (DFAS) PAYMENT LIAISON: Learning & understanding the very complex system of expediting payments to be made by the US Government. Expectation is that candidate will become the "go-to" for any & all issues that arise.
- REPORTING: Ability to update tracking spreadsheet in Excel to present weekly customer account updates to Supervisor.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree
- Experience working with Accounts Receivable, Cash Application, and Cash Collections.
- Proficiency in Excel (Intermediate level) including Pivot Tables and V-Lookups.
