Accounts Payable Specialist Job

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in SILVER SPRING, MD

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Proven accounts payable record for high volume transactions, will be responsible for indexing and posting invoices in a timely manner.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Process minimum of 350-450 invoices monthly
- Deliver timely processing of vendor invoices while maintaining accuracy
- Analyzes upload files received to ensure proper formatting, dates and support documentation.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies
- Communicates with internal and external customers to provide Accounts Payable support and problem resolution
- Establishes and maintains strong collaborative relationships with internal and external customers
- Contributes ideas and actions towards the continuous improvement of Accounts Payable processes
- Adheres to accounting principles and accounts payable internal policies
- Ensures that the appropriate sales and use tax codes and credits are applied
- Meet monthly closing deadlines
- Performs special projects and other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Education: BS, BA or related years of experience.
- Five + years of Accounts Payable, SAP, P2P and Purchase order experience preferred, 1099 knowledge a plus with excellent customer service and communication skills
- Candidate should have experience with full cycle Accounts Payable and working knowledge of SAP or some other ERP software and be proficient in Excel.
- Must be a team player, able to handle high volume in a fast pace environment and problem solve
