SALARY: UP TO £22,000 (PRO RATA) DEPENDENT ON EXPERIENCE - WITH EXCELLENT FLEXIBLE BENEFITS PACKAGE

ROLE OVERVIEW

WE HAVE ANOTHER FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN STERIA'S FINANCE DIVISION.  Your role will be to support the UK business by ensuring timely and accurate recording, processing and invoicing of all Steria's customer contracts as well as monitoring and evaluating project financial performance. You will work very closely with colleagues in the business, supporting Finance Controllers, Managers, Services Accounting and provide back up support to PFA colleagues, giving you excellent exposure to our business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Booking and billing customer orders in accordance with individual contracts
- Managing projects on the Oracle Project Accounting system, including revenue recognition, reporting, updating other financial information
- Validating all contracts and orders against legal and financial guidelines, ensuring that all criteria are satisfied prior to booking new business and escalating any irregularities as required
- Maximising the revenues and related cash flows of the company
- Working closely with Finance Controllers and Managers, Business, Project and Service Delivery management
- Observing and maintaining the strictest financial control and ethics required by the finance community
- Ability to provide Ad-Hoc analysis on project financials
- Participation in continually improving the service the PFA team provides to its customers
- Must be capable of providing our customers with Service Excellence

ESSENTIALS:

AREA  KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

- The position would ideally suit a team player who demonstrates the capacity and motivation to support Steria's business with a broad prospective.
- Importantly, the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

OTHER KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

- A sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Numeracy, accuracy and analytical/problem solving skills.
- Ability to be flexible, well organised and with a willingness to use own initiative.

EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND:

- A knowledge of Oracle or similar ERP systems would be desirable
- An outline understanding of Accounting practices and principles.
- Studying for or a willingness to study for Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) or CIMA qualifications is preferable but not essential

The successful candidates may be required to obtain security clearance to SC level
