Project Description:
* Reconciliation of large amounts of Fixed Assets Data.
* Preparation of Complex Unitary Property Tax Returns.
* Monitor, Process and Distribute Property Tax Valuation Notices
* Payment of a large number of Property Tax Bills
* Monthly and Quarterly accounting close work including detailed account analysis
* Filing and tracking of complex property tax appeals
* Other general Property Tax compliance work

Job Description:
* Preparation of complex Unitary/Network Property Tax Returns, Value Distributions, and Payment of Tax Bills.
* Responding to a large volume of Jurisdictional and Management Inquiries.
* Assumption of full Property Tax compliance responsibilities for certain subsidiary entities (which are reported separately).
* Responsible for a significant portion of the quarterly accounting close, results reporting, and general ledger account balance reconciliations.
* Responsible for fixed asset analysis, and assistance with the year end fixed asset system reconciliations.
* Critical year end data compilation and reconciliation projects which will require teaming up with departmental Lead Tax Accountant, and other critical property tax functions.
* The objectives of this position are to ensure compliance with property tax laws, and to ensure Sarbanes-Oxley controls are followed for the candidate's states of responsibility, and for the departmental accounting function.
* This position also requires experience in budgeting, drafting management reporting packages, and financial reporting.
* Critical skills sets include a meticulous attention to detail, the ability to handle a large volume of work quickly and accurately, the ability to work on complete projects independently, and strong teamwork and communication skills.

EXTENSIVE USE OF PIVOT TABLES AND V-LOOKUP FUNCTIONS WILL NEED TO BE USED DAILY, AND THE CANDIDATE SHOULD ALREADY HAVE THESE SKILLS IN PLACE.
