Accounting Analyst Job

ACCOUNTING ANALYST needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Rochester, NY.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Tax Cost Experience
- Cost Accounting

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Supporting the Tax Department, coordination of the Division Federal, State and Local taxation worksheets.
- Interaction with Corporate Tax Department, External Auditors and multiple Division Departments.
- Responsible for Division Tax Account Analysis, Federal Tax Provision analysis including 263A calculation, manufacturing deduction (Section 199) and other temporary differences as well as R boycott reporting, and foreign source income review.
- Responsible for annual Sarbane's Oxley audit information requests and will require cross training in US Sales and Use tax.
- May require minimal travel

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BS in Accounting with six to ten (6-10) years related work experience in tax and/or cost/operational accounting.
- Experience in public accounting (audit and/or tax).
- PC skills require excellent Excel and Word skills.
- Experience in business communications (verbal, email and written presentations) as interaction with Corporate office, division offices and external auditors will be a major portion of this position.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in audits are required as well as good organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Experience in Tax, Cost/Operational Accounting or public accounting is desired. Experience with PeopleSoft, SAP or Oracle software systems is desired.
- Experience in a team leadership role is desired but not required.
