Accountant - Financial Services - Scotland

A qualified Accountant if required for a Financial Services organization based in Edinburgh.

Deliverables will include ledger control, balance sheet substantiation, intercompany reconciliations, management and subsidiary accounts, divisional reporting, VAT return submission and business MI.

The successful candidate will gain knowledge and understanding in the specialist area of leasing or equities. Due to the complex nature of the deals within these areas the ideal candidate would be a self starter who is eager to learn and quickly add value.

The role will require liaison across the finance community to ensure accurate and timely reporting, therefore encouraging the development of business relationships.

Liaison with senior management will be required to ensure effective reporting and timely reporting and resolution of issues. Strong communication skills are essential.

Knowledge and Experience:

. Qualified accountant with minimum of 3 years post qualification experience
. Experience in managing a team
. Financial services experience preferable however not essential
. Strong IT skills including Excel and Word
. SAP experience preferable

Rate: £250-£320

Duration: 31 Dec 2014, with a view to extend
