Accountant - Big 4 Newly Qualified - £300-400pd

NEWLY QUALIFIED - INTEREST RATE HEDGING PRODUCTS - BIG 4 FIRM

LIBOR/COMMERCIAL/CORPORATE

My Financial Services client based in London requires a Financial Accountant to assist a key change programme.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

- Recently Qualified Accountant (1-2 years)
- Qualified at one of the BIG 4 (PwC, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG)
- Good INTEREST RATE HEDGING PRODUCTS understanding (eg structured collars, collars, caps, floors, vanilla interest rate swaps)
- Excel skills, DATA MANIPULATION and Modelling experience
- Experience or knowledge in LIBOR LOANS would be preferential
- COMMERCIAL or CORPORATE Banking experience
- FORENSIC ACCOUNTING experience

ROLE:

- The project is an Interest Rate Hedging Products (IRHPs) review to Retail customers, sat within the team responsible for the calculation and fulfilment of redress to the customers.
- Identify, quantify, validate and present a number of aspects of the customer redress calculation
- Confirming and comparing cash flows on both the original and replacement IRHP (if applicable)
- Confirming the validity and quantum of any customer testimony provided for consideration in the redress decision, in conjunction with the File Reviewers as well undertaking the customer file investigation, including
- Sourcing relevant data
- Modelling cash flows over the life of the IRHP
- Comparing customer testimony with Bank or other third party records
- Performing calculation of interest
- Performing assessment of customer restructuring in an alternate scenario, working closely with Relationship managers
- Liaising with stakeholders across Corporate Banking Division

RATE: £300 - £400 per day

DURATION: 6 months Initial Contract

START DATE: ASAP
