Senior Accountant

I. BASIC FUNCTIONS:
The role of the Senior Accountant will be to support the financial aspects of the Outpatient Pharmacy Dispensing and Point of Sale system deployments across all regions. Responsibilities include participating and/or leading accounting overviews for regional accounting staff, validation of the initial General Ledger entries, documenting requirements for moving to FIFO inventory costing, and other financial tasks as assigned.

II. JOB FUNCTIONS:
Act as the Business SME for OPPR-related accounting and GL posting process validation.
Ensure all financial events are accounted for correctly.
Lead GL validation after each regional release.
Partner with Business Analyst to design GL entries to support FIFO.
Act as primary liaison between Pharmacy and Regional Accounting staffs.
Other duties, as assigned.

III. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelors' degree required,  Masters' degree preferred
Current CPA or CMA.
Participation on a major system roll-out.
Experience with Financial module of ERP application.

IV. SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Strong knowledge of GAAP.
Strong knowledge of Inventory accounting.
Analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
