Account Manager Reports to UK Sales Manager To promote and sell Integrated Control & Safety Solutions, Project and Engineering and related services to target Accounts (Mainly Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power & Pharmaceutical industries in the assigned territory and to contribute to the sales and profitability targets of the Company. Key Responsibilities: * To identify sales opportunities, in the defined market segments and customer Accounts for Control & Safety Solutions, Projects and Engineering services. * To identify customer needs and requirements and assist in providing innovative and cost effective solutions * To assist the Sales Support Team with the production of technically and commercially acceptable proposals, tender documents and bid submissions. * To liaise with the Products Division for the presentation and support of totally integrated Instrumentation/Systems solutions * Commercial negotiation and responsibility for assisting the bid process. * Sales and promotional activity and presentations of systems and services. * To participate as a member of the systems division team in the pursuit of its business activities. * To prepare and carry out presentations and demonstrations on the range of systems equipment * Customer liaison and entertainment, as and when necessary, including participation at conferences or exhibitions Personal Specification: * Confident and assertive individual with a strong customer focus and the ability to work on own initiative. * IT capable in the use of Microsoft office applications and industry style CRM systems * Professional and responsive approach, to gain credibility through integrity, technical knowledge and personality * Price setting and cost estimation for major proposals, within pre-determined guidelines Education: Essential: * Formal technical education in a related discipline * Recognised formal qualification in an engineering or process related subject Preferred: * Degree in an engineering or process related discipline. * Training in sales / marketing / negotiation * Further qualification in business administration or sales/marketing Experience: * Minimum of 5 years experience in the process control industry. * Proven track record in sales of process control systems and engineering services to the oil & gas industry * Teamwork, as part of a structured team in the preparation of proposals for and the selling of major capital projects Preferred: * Understanding of computer integration, networking and MIS systems * Sales / marketing support for high technology capital equipment
