Practicus is now partnering with a client within the Rail sector and are looking for a client-facing Account Manager who can manage some of the companies most valuable accounts.

My client has recently incurred a number of losses within the Account Management team leaving them short staffed and stretched. Their current ability to manage the work load from their current accounts is at risk, and they are looking for someone who can step into the Account Management role and be able to instantly take work load on and take some pressure off the Account Director. The accounts will mainly be Train Operating Companies so having an understanding of the UK Rail market and TOC's will be beneficial as well as being client facing and be able to empathise and always act in the best interest of the client. Your success will be measured on relationships you have successfully retained and any growth you have managed to influence within your given accounts.

Key Skills and Experience:

- Must have a strong understanding of rolling-stock, fleet and engineering processes
- A knowledge of commercial strategy would be desirable
- Previous experience within the rail sector and a knowledge of current issues and challenges facing the industry
- Experience within a client facing role such as Account Manager, Interface Manager, Relationship Manager or similar
- You must be easy to get on with and be able to empathise with clients
- You must have an ambitious attitude to work and be pro-active on a day-to-day basis
