Access/VBA Developer Job

MS ACCESS/VBA DEVELOPER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Renton, WA. THIS IS A 3-4 MONTH PROJECT.

TOP SKILLS SHOULD YOU POSSESS:

- Multi-User MS Access application development
- Data Modeling, application Design
- Experience developing Access applications end-to-end

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Translate customer requirements into functional specification and detailed design
- Develop relationship data model to track capital assets; need to track 6500 pieces. Data exists in database format FILEMAKER PRO; translate to MS Access, includes consultant's inventory of our capital assets (including pictures, asset tags, etc.)
- Maintenance and repairs
- Inspections
- Facility construction/remodel
- Idea is multi-user access via remote WIN tablets (field tool)
- Develop form-based interface to view, enter and update data elements
- Develop standardized reports that include forecasting, schedules and time-based alerts
- Enable user ad-hoc reporting
- Later, develop dashboard from MS Access using SharePoint 2013 BI tools (SSG Bus Ops could do this part)
- Designs, programs, tests, implements, documents and maintains computing applications.
- Gathers and evaluates end user requirements.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Technical bachelor's degree and typically five (5) or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically three (3) or more years' or a PhD degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Data modelling, application design, interface development, reporting, etc.,
- Our client is looking for a generalist who can work across these areas and has experience developing small-scale MS Access applications end-to-end.
