Access Developer

OPPORTUNITY:

Calling all Access Developers! We have a short-term, remote opening for a client in the Midwest. If you have Access and SQL development experience, we want to hear from you!

In this position, you'll be troubleshooting existing access system slowness including:

- 90 mb in 14 tables will need to move to SQL with linked tables
- Rewriting 14 tab-based forms that load slowly due to each tab running a query and returning data prior to form opening. End result will be the form default loads minimal results with an on click event taking user to additional tabs with their own data as a result of the click
- Current state = 1 form, 5 tabs, 5 queries, form returns after all 5 queries have been run making system slow
- Future state = 1 form, 5 tabs, 5 queries, form returns fast with 1 default query and then the user clicks another tab executing only the new tab query making system run faster
- Miscellaneous data structure cleanup for speed optimization
- Minimal data column additions in source tables for additional granularity and stratification in reporting.
