Ab Initio Administrator - Contract | Reading | 3 Months Initially

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Primarily Ab Initio Administrator builds and configures platforms of environments (DEV, SIT, UAT, and PROD).

Other responsibilities will include:

- Ab Initio server administration.
- Support multiple applications (Servers/environments as above) using the primary technologies like AbInitio (admin), Oracle DB/Netezza, Unix/Linux Servers.
- Provide technical support and leadership to the platform support team that builds environments and work on various infra request (Deployment, access, triage, information).
- Work with key stakeholders outside immediate team to ensure platform requirements are met.
- Worked in 3.1.4 to 3.1.6 and involved in upgradation to 3.2.1
- Read/understand Vendor documentation.
- Communicate with technical support.
- The associate should have strong knowledge in Ab Initio >CoOperating system, EME, >ConductIt, Continuous flows, BRE.
- Should have strong knowledge in Unix and Shell Scripting.
- Should be familiar with Ab Initio >CoOperating system installation, Multi-File system design and configuration, DBC file configuration to various RDBMS.
- Continuous flow interface setup and debugging.
- Development/maintenance of Environment migration.
- Should have experience in version control tool (Clearcase) and code deployments to various environments.
- Should have experience in Ab Initio migration projects.
- Should have basic understanding of schedulers.
- Should have excellent communication skills to interact with the various teams.

GENERIC MANAGERIAL SKILLS:

Should be able to independently perform the various system administration tasks and guide the development team.

Candidate should have atleast 4+ years' experience and knowledge of Control M will be added advantage.
