zSeries (MVS) Systems Programmer
Contract
Location: Dublin North
Duration: 6 months +
Our client is looking for the zSeries (MVS) Systems Programmer to join their team in Dublin North office.
The role involves general maintenance, installations, performance, backup and batch monitoring. It also entails the provision of technical support and consultancy to applications development and user staff.
The Data Centre operates 24x7.
Required experience:
*In depth knowledge of zSeries platforms is essential.
*Extensive experience of installing, tuning and maintaining zSeries platforms.
*Experience of installing, tuning and maintaining zOS and associated 3rd Party products.
*Knowledge of as many as possible of the following; MVS (z/OS), IMS, ACF2, VTAM, ROSCOE, TSO, NCL, NETMASTER, Assembler, SMS, DASD Mgt., Tape Mgt., SMP/E
*Excellent communication skills
*Good problem solving skills
*A desire to achieve and succeed showing initiative and self-motivation.
*A conscientious and flexible approach to the position
*A relevant degree/qualification and/or proven track record.
