ANNUAL SALARY £14,143 - £17,100

FULL TIME, FIXED TERM CONTRACT - UNTIL 31ST DECEMBER 2015

BASED IN NORTH EAST OR MID ESSEX

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL OCCASIONALLY BE REQUIRED TO ATTEND RESIDENTIAL TRIPS

We are looking for a Youth Support Worker to support youth and community development model that enables local delivery of youth work opportunities by young people and the community.

Additionally, the role will require working as part of a team to deliver targeted youth work sessions and facilitation of young people's involvement in decision making through user groups and youth councils.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Qualified at level 2 or above in a JNC recognised Youth Work Qualification or be prepared to undertake training
- Good level of numeracy and literacy
- Experience of working with young people which may be in a voluntary role
- Ability to build relationships and relate well to young people
- Ability to motivate young people and facilitate young people's learning
- Commitment to challenging prejudice and ignorance
- Ability to develop work with young people to achieve planned outcomes
- Ability to work as part of a team
