Year 2 Teacher Leighton Buzzard

A lower school in Leighton Buzzard are urgently looking to recruit a Year 2 Teacher to start in September. A last minute change of circumstance has left the school short and they need to recruit quickly. Due to these circumstances they would ideally prefer an experienced Year 2 practitioner that can hit the ground running.

The school is two form entry with just under 250 students on roll. For the first couple of weeks the right teacher will receive additional support from members of the Senior Leadership Team and have a full time TA in the classroom whilst they settle into the role.

The school are looking to interview suitable candidates in the last week of August therefore applications are encouraged as soon as possible.

The Requirements:

As the successful Year 2 Teacher you will need to;
- Be a newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) or have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a PGCE, GTP or Bachelor of education.
- Have the ability and experience of teaching Year 2.
- Have strong classroom management skills.
- Be able to deal with challenging behaviour and a creative approach is necessary.
- Be able to use your own initiative and work as part of a team.
- Possess the passion to teach Key Stage 1.
