Year 1 Teacher Luton

A large school in Luton are looking to hire a Year 1 Teacher for the remainder of the academic year starting after February half-term. This position is 5-days-a-week and will include all planning responsibilities.

The school has recently exited special measures and is on an upward curve. A new Headteacher is turning the school around and is looking for ambitios staff with a positive attitude. Although this is initially a short-term contract there is an opportunity for the role to become permanent for the right candidate.

The school are looking to hold interviews in the week before half term so applications need to be submitted as soon as possible

Requirements:

As the successful Year 1 Teacher you will need to;
- Be a newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) or have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a PGCE, GTP or Bachelor of education.
- Have the ability and experience of teaching in Year 1/Key Stage 1.
- Have strong classroom management skills.
- Be able to deal with challenging behaviour and a creative approach is necessary.
- Be able to use your own initiative and work as part of a team.
