I am currently recruiting for 3 Clerical Data Assistants in Towcester for 3 months. This is a contract position based in Towcester.

My client is a renowned market leader in optical components and subsystems for the core optical, data centre and wireless access markets. They are looking for a Data Assistant to join their friendly Product Environmental Management team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Work with product bill of material reports (exported to Excel); use Excel filters and formulas to manipulate/standardise/match data sets (formulas will be provided).

+ Locating documentation on company database or specialist service provider web site, or component supplier web sites, to obtain required documents/data (various types of data according to specific tasks, such as chemical constituents and material sources, etc.); including filing documents in company database if obtained from outside sources.

+ Electronically extract and import, paste, or some manual (Keyboard) input of large amounts of data into Excel workbooks; standardize the data, such as converting units of measure; perform data matching and cross referencing and looking up details such as chemical or other details on web service providers sites, etc.

+ Checking for missing data (gap analysis) and auditing data quality against given criteria, highlighting problems/unusual or missing data per given criteria.

+ Communication regarding missing or problem data with colleagues or others as directed.

+ Maintain records of Excel workbooks

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

+ Experience of using Excel, including data input and/or manipulation of data.
