Writer

Looking for a copy writer to support the customer facing marketing team.

JOB DESCRIPTION/DUTIES:

- Group: Marketing department; market energy efficiency programs (support internal departments that manage the programs handling energy efficiency).
- Projects: Web content writing, email and monthly newsletter writing, press release blurbs, awards, employee calendar.
- Will be producing copy with less focus on editing.
- Will interface with experts to compile the data for their copy.
- Candidate would work on a PC vs a Mac.

SKILLS:

REQUIREMENTS:

- Degree: Journalism is preferred, Marketing would be fine too, but really need someone with a writing focus.
- No less than three years experience.
- Design background preferred.
- Utility or technical based writing experience would be a plus.
- Ability to prioritize projects and providing internal client service.
- Technical writing background preferred, but not required. Since this position is all customer facing, there are some technical terms utilized, but most of the copy is not technically related as it is meant for broad audiences.
- Anything related to Energy Efficiency is highly preferred.
- Ideal candidate would have writing and design experience with a focus on the writing.
- Tools: PC, Microsoft Office.
- Looking for a true writer who has done marketing, with some cross over with technical writing.
- Need to have relevant experience with different writing channels (email, social media, award applications, web etc.)
