Workplace Health and Safety Manager

Barclay Recruitment is currently representing a Brisbane based transport company in need of an experienced and motivated Work Place Health and Safety Manager. This is a six month contract with the potential to extend.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

- Reviewing, implementing and ensuring compliance to company policies and procedures
- Providing advice and assistance regarding OH&S to all personnel including management
- Facilitating inductions and conducting audits in order to identify and correct risks and hazards
- Facilitating risk management
- Liaise with external stakeholders and auditors

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

- Queensland WHSO certificate alternatively an equivalent Cert IV
- Must hold current Senior First aid certificate and Fire Safety Officers certificate
- A minimum of three years in a similar role with a Logistics or Transport company
- Experience with AS 4801 based HSE systems
- Sound knowledge and understanding of Safety, Health and risk management practices and legislation
- Excellent communication skills
